(12/02/14) W. Robert Tetreault, 84, of Knotty Oak Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at home. Born in West Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Stella C. (Tomasik) Tetreault. They were married for sixty years. He was the son of the late Francois and Palma (Allen) Tetreault.
Robert was a welder for Electric Boat for thirty-eight years at Quonset, RI and Groton, CT. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving as a Corporal. He loved being with his family, fishing, ice fishing and riding his bike.
Besides his wife he is survived by four children; Robert W. Tetreault and his wife Lisa, Ann M. Serpa and her husband Ronald, Kathleen M. Gabrault and her husband James and Steven W. Tetreault and his wife Sharon, seven grandchildren; Andrea, Ron, Danielle, Jacqueline, Marc, Jillian and Eric and a great grandson; John. He was predeceased by a brother; Roland Allen and two sisters; Gertrude Berard and Rita Langlais.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 8:00 to 10:00 am. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
