(12/01/14) Miss Anna M. Christina, 93, of Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, passed away on Saturday morning, November 29, 2014 at the Westerly Nursing Home. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Connie Christina, Rose Christina, Mary Longolucco and Josephine Martin and her brothers, Angelo Christina, Peter Christina and Jack Christina.
Miss Christina was born in Pawcatuck on December 15, 1920, the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Domenica (DiPollini) Christina. She was a bookkeeper for over 40 years for Morrone Brothers Garage and Andrews Oil Company, both of Westerly, retiring in 1981. Anna was a member of the Westerly Senior Center, the Daughters of Isabella and the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High Street, Westerly. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anna’s name can be made to the St. Michael’s Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT 06379.
