(11/21/14) Pawtucket – Robert R. Gumpson, 71, of Suffolk Avenue died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Raymond F. and Florence (Booth) Gumpson, he had lived in Central Falls for 60 years before moving to Pawtucket 11 years ago.
Mr. Gumpson was the owner of Central Falls Surfacing Company for many years before retiring.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins including Karen Dakake of Pawtucket, Chuck Dakake of South Attleboro, MA, Lisa Dakake, Steven Dakake and Douglas Dakake, all of Lincoln, Mark Dakake of Georgia, and Ronald G. Lagasse of North Attleboro, MA. He was the brother of the late William G. Gumpson and Margaret Dakake.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 25 at 11 A.M. in Historic Swan Point Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Burial will be private.
