(11/11/14) Lincoln – Marie M. (Brodie) Bisson, 88, of Lincoln died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Bisson. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Justin E. Brodie and Mary J. (Alger) Brodie, she had lived in Lincoln for more than 60 years.
Mrs. Bisson was a merchandise buyer for the Gladdings Department Store in Providence for a number of years. She was a communicant of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in North Providence and was a Eucharistic Minister and active parishioner of St. Ambrose Church, Albion.
She is survived by two daughters, Marie M. Masterson and her husband, Richard of North Providence and Rosemary T. Addison of Lincoln; four sons, William R. Bisson, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Lincoln, Robert E. Bisson and his wife, Gisele of Cumberland, Kevin M. Bisson and his wife, Leslie of Boxford, MA, and Jack Bisson of Lincoln; one sister, Eileen Degnan and her husband, Joseph of Narragansett; sixteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Reverend Justin E. Brodie, Jr., O.P.
Her funeral will be held Friday, November 14 at 9:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 5:00-8:00 P.M.
