(10/23/14) Lincoln – Raymond E. Theroux, 70, of Lincoln died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his home Thursday, October 23, 2014. Ray was the beloved husband of Peg (McCabe) Theroux and the beloved son of Anita S. (Benoit) Theroux of North Smithfield and the late Emile R. Theroux.
Ray was loved and admired by all who were blessed to know him for his kindness, wisdom, humility, and sense of humor, even through the most difficult days of his battle with lymphoma.
Ray graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and from Bryant University with a Master of Science Degree in Taxation. He had a thirty-five year career as a Tax Analyst at Textron, Inc. in Providence, RI.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his beloved children, David Theroux and his partner, Kathleen Flanagan of North Attleboro, MA and Kristin Martone and her husband, Donald of Attleboro, MA; his cherished grandchildren, Connor Theroux and Brianna Martone; his sisters, Annette Biagetti of Woonsocket and Denise McCluskey of Lenexa, KS; his brothers, Robert Theroux of Pocasset, MA, Richard Theroux of Chantilly, VA and Edward Theroux of Uxbridge, MA; his uncles, Raymond Benoit of West Warwick and Richard Benoit of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
His favorite activities included attending his grandchildren’s dance and piano recitals, soccer and basketball games, and he especially enjoyed taking his grandson to Pawtucket Red Sox games. He also enjoyed hosting family gatherings and spending quality time with friends.
Ray will be forever missed and never forgotten for being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and friend.
His funeral will be held TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28 at 9 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln.
