James G Karneeb - Pawtucket, RI

(10/22/14) Pawtucket – James G. Karneeb, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Edith (Farrington) Karneeb for fifty-eight years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Thomas and Josephine (Teebagy) Karneeb. Jim was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by Health-Tex, Central Falls and Cumberland for over forty years before retiring as a Distribution Manager in 1983. Jim was a fifty year member of Jenks Lodge No. 24; Past Patron of Queen Esther Chapter No. 2, Order of the Eastern Star; Grand Order of the Sword of Bunker Hill, Gaspee Order No. 99, Providence; Rhode Island Shriners and an avid golfer. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Lynn H. Karneeb of Pawtucket; a sister, Gloria Farrington of Richmond; a brother, Joseph Karneeb of Warwick and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Margaret and Albert Karneeb. His funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High St., Pawtucket. Interment at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston will be private. VISITATION will be Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
