(09/04/12) Warwick - Matthew D. “Matty” Morsilli, 45, of Diamond Hill Road, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
A lifelong resident of Warwick he was the beloved son of Joseph and Paula C. (Cummings) Morsilli with whom he lived. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters: Valerie Armstrong and her companion Jim Silvia of Warwick; Donna Calise and her husband Steven of West Greenwich and Jennifer Moody and her husband John of North Kingstown; four nieces and one nephew.
Matt was a cement mason who was employed by the Laborer’s Union working at Cherokee Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and with his dog, “Bingo”.
His funeral will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 9:00 am from the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick at 10:00 am. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Ann\'s Cemetery, Cranston.
