(10/14/14) Pawtucket – Mabel G. (DesRoches) Kelleher, 78, passed away with her husband by her side on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 after many years of illness. She was the beloved wife of Paul B. Kelleher for 27 years and the late Kenneth Brown. Born in Somerville, MA, she was a daughter of the late Theodore, Sr. and Helen (Lane) DesRoches. Mabel was the nursing payroll clerk at Memorial Hospital of RI for 17 years until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed collecting Swarovski Crystal; reading; knitting; crocheting and completing word searches and crossword puzzles. Besides her loving husband, she leaves a brother, William DesRoches and his wife, Toni of Melrose, MA; two sisters-in-law, Patricia DesRoches of Cambridge, MA and Joan DesRoches of Mendon, MA and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was the sister of the late Theodore DesRoches, Jr., David DesRoches, Marie Authement, Jeanne Fitzgerald and Elaine Laffin. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Miriam Hospital and Memorial Hospital of RI, for their excellent care and expertise. Also a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Pawtucket Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Ave. (Rt. 44), Seekonk. Burial will be private.
