(10/14/14) William L. Mullins, 85, of West Warwick, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Bernard) Mullins for 57 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William L. and Elizabeth (Leonard) Mullins. Mr. Mullins was the owner and operator of Mullins Towing Service, Inc. until his retirement. He proudly served in The United States Army during the Korean War. He was a past Commodore of the Ocean State Catalina Association and was a member of the Elks. He greatly enjoyed his grandchildren’s sporting events. He and his wife were avid sailors and enjoyed traveling together. He was the loving father of Lynn A. Mullins and her husband Andrew Luck of Jersey City, NJ, William L. Mullins, Jr. and his wife Karin and Lisa Beth Mullins and her husband David Bucci, all of East Greenwich and Christine P. Mullins-Impagliazzo and her husband David of Cranston. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Erin, Haley, Desmond, Trevor, Shannon, Ireleigh, David Jr. and Emma. His funeral will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
