(09/10/14) TEDESCHI, Henry W., Jr., 79, of West Warwick, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at Alpine Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Louisa S. (Henault) Tedeschi, they had been married for 56 years. Born in Warwick, a son of the late Henry W. and Eva (Doiron) Tedeschi. He resided in West Warwick and wintered in Davenport, FL.
Mr. Tedeschi was a materials planner at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division for 30 years before retiring in 1994. He was a US Army Veteran.
Mr. Tedeschi was a star athlete in high school at West Warwick High School drawing attention from professional teams. His passion for sports extended into coaching youth and high school baseball and basketball teams. He also played senior softball in RI and FL and was an avid sports fan supporting the local teams, especially PC basketball.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Henry W. Tedeschi, III and his wife Tammy of West Warwick and Andrew J. Tedeschi and his wife Helen of Philadelphia, PA; four granddaughters, Marissa Perry and her husband Michael, Kristen, Kelsea and Nisha Tedeschi and a sister, Doris Bennett of West Warwick. He was the brother of the late Sister Charlene Tedeschi, RSM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at 10 am in St. Joseph Church, Providence St., West Warwick. Interment will be private.
