(09/05/14) Blasi, Joseph S., 66, passed away on Friday, September 05, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the loving husband of Dorothy A. (Kasewicz) Blasi of Cranston. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Biafore) Blasi.
Joe was a passionate model train and railroad enthusiast. He also enjoyed caring for flowers in his garden. The last nine months of his life were embellished with love from his newborn grandson Maddox.
Besides his wife Dorothy and grandson Maddox, he is survived by a daughter Victoria Blasi of Cranston and her fiancé Chris Castrignano; as well as his wife’s daughter, Kimberly Fournier of Pawtucket and her husband Daniel, and wife’s son Mark Dwyer of Coventry and his wife Jessica and a brother Steven Blasi. He is predeceased by his sister Catherine Gabriel.
A Prayer Service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Tuesday, September 9 at 7 PM.
