Michael "Red" Corso - Bristol, RI

(08/22/14) CORSO, MICHAEL \"Red\", passed away tragically on Wednesday, August 20, surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of Lasalle Academy and attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied jewelry design and subsequently pursued a career in the jewelry industry until his retirement. He was active in scouting and drum corps and until his death had been treasurer of Drum Corps Associates for 40 years. He was the son of Michele Corso and Gemma (Nucciaroni) Corso and had one sister, Josephine Baccari (deceased). He was married to Teresa (Turcone) Corso and had two children, Michael John Corso (deceased), and Elaine M.Warzycha. He is survived by four grandchildren, Michael J. Corso, Jr., Chirstopher P. Corso, Julianne Bruns and Amy Marie Corso and five great grand children. Michael lived his life fully, admired and loved by all who knew him he will be greatly missed. Visitation for Mr. Corso will be held Sunday, August 24, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at \"WOODLAWN\" ~ Gattone Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. His funeral will be held on Monday, August 25th at 9:15 a.m. from \"WOODLAWN\" ~ Gattone Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church located at 472 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the Corso family asks that donations be made to Susan G.Komen for the Cure. Online condolences may be shared at WoodlawnGattone.com.
