(08/28/12) Lester A. Hopkins, 71 of Knotty Oak Road, Coventry, RI passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Coventry Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Coventry, RI. He was married for thirty-seven years to Marion J. (Feurer) Hopkins.
Born in Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Lester A. and Ruth (Anthony) Hopkins, Sr. Lester was a bus operator for thirty-four years at the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority until his retirement in 2008. He was an Air Force Veteran during peace time.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his stepchildren; Robert Bjorklund, David Bjorklund, Paula Ashton, Glen Bjorklund and Bruce Bjorklund, two sisters; Barbara Moran and Lillian Butler, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services are private and are under the direction of Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
