Philip LaChance - North Kingstown, RI

(08/15/14) North Kingstown – Philip LaChance, 76, of North Kingstown died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Cora A. (Grenon) LaChance. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Felix and Doris (Papineau) LaChance, he had lived in Pawtucket for 25 years, Smithfield for 2 years, North Providence for 5 years before moving to North Kingstown 11 years ago. Mr. LaChance was a supervisor at Leviton Manufacturing Company, Warwick for 13 years before retiring in 2003. He served in the Rhode Island National Guard from 1956-1960. He was a member of various bowling leagues. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sandra Taylor and her husband, Jason of Lincoln; two sons, David G. LaChance of North Kingstown and Michael H. LaChance of Lincoln; two sisters, Yvonne Connors of Lincoln and Helen Reynolds of Central Falls; one brother, Armand “Allie” LaChance of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Donald “Danny” LaChance. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held TUESDAY, AUGUST 19 at 10 A.M. in St. Joseph’s Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
