(08/27/12) Robert C. Kelsall, Jr., 88, of Flat River Road, in Coventry, RI passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. He was married for sixty years to Elsie F. (Anderson) Kelsall.
Born in Providence RI, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Ada (Taylor) Kelsall, Sr. Robert was a draftsman for General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT for twenty-five years until his retirement in the 80\\\'s. He received a certificate from New England Technical School in Refrigeration and received a certification from Rhode Island School of Design for Drafting. Avid in woodworking and gardening, he was known for his cherries. He was an army veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; John A. and Paul R. Kelsall, and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother; Arthur Kelsall and a sister; F. Iris Hutchins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours are Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, RI which will be followed by Military Honors.
