(06/27/14) Pawtucket – Francis Xavier Hunt, 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2014 while in hospice care after a long illness. Frank was the son of the late Edward P. Hunt of Pawtucket and the stepson of the late William Hunt of Lincoln and Pawtucket, R.I. He was the nephew of the late Reverend Father Patrick Hunt. He was a graduate of Tolman High School and the University of Arizona, Tucson. He was a licensed mortgage broker for many years, but was currently employed by the Federal Government, at the US Department of Commerce. An avid gardener, Frank toiled many hours in his garden, but was also a lover of books. His great passion in life however was music. An author of more than 100 country blues songs, Frank performed regularly with his neighborhood band. He is survived by his mother, Mildred (Jurcy) Hunt of Pawtucket; his brothers, Michael and his wife, Joanne of Hollywood, FL., Edward and his wife, Roberta and Patrick and his wife, Elaine all of North Attleboro; his beloved sister, Millie Godin and her husband, Robert of Glocester, his stepsister, Barbara Blais and her husband, Jim of Cranston; his stepbrother, Stephen of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved stepbrother, Paul of Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
